Our journey with Beagles began in an unexpected place—on a beach in Chile.

While on vacation, I remember watching a Beagle running freely along the shoreline, ears flying, nose to the wind, completely carefree and full of joy. There was something about that moment that stuck with me. The dog was playful, confident, and full of personality, and I remember thinking how perfectly a dog like that would fit into our busy family life.

Not long after, we purchased a pair of Beagles from a breeder in Chile—Olive and Diggory—and brought them home with us to Canada. At the time, we had no idea just how much these little hounds would change our lives. What started as a love for the breed quickly grew into a deep appreciation for everything that makes Beagles so special.

Like many new owners, we had much to learn. Thankfully, the Beagle community here in Canada has been incredibly generous with their time, mentorship, and knowledge. Experienced breeders and exhibitors welcomed us, guided us, and helped us grow in our understanding of the breed and the responsibilities that come with raising and breeding purebred dogs.

Our dogs are raised in the heart of our home, surrounded by family life every day.

We are a busy homeschooling family with many children, and our Beagles grow up right alongside them. From the time they are young, our children help with feeding, grooming, training, and daily care. Puppies are handled constantly, loved by many hands, and become comfortable with the sounds, activity, and rhythms of a full household.

Dogs play a meaningful role in our family life. Some of our children participate in Junior Handling, where they learn the skills of presenting dogs in the show ring while developing confidence, patience, and sportsmanship. Our dogs become wonderful teachers—helping our children learn responsibility, kindness, and the joy of working together with an animal.

Like many families, ours includes children with different personalities, needs, and abilities, and our dogs are part of that story as well. The steady companionship of our Beagles brings comfort, laughter, and calm to our home. Their cheerful nature and affectionate personalities make them especially wonderful partners for children.

We chose Beagles in part because they fit so beautifully into family life.

Beagles are truly merry little hounds—curious, affectionate, and wonderfully expressive. They carry a joyful spirit that seems to brighten every room they enter. Beagles love people, thrive on companionship, and want nothing more than to be included in whatever the family is doing.

Their playful personalities make them natural companions for children, while their intelligence and determination make them fascinating dogs to live with and train.

While our dogs are first and foremost beloved family members, we are also deeply committed to preserving the Beagle breed through responsible breeding and participation in conformation shows.

Showing our dogs allows us to evaluate them against the official breed standard and ensures we are producing dogs that are correct in structure, sound in movement, and true to type.

We are proud to be CKC registered breeders and members in good standing with both the Beagle Club of Canada and the Western Beagle Club.

Our breeding priorities are simple and intentional.

Health comes first, because a sound and healthy dog is the foundation for everything. Temperament follows closely behind, as Beagles should be kind, stable, and wonderful companions for families. Alongside these qualities, we aim to preserve the classic beauty of the breed—balanced, athletic little hounds who can shine in the show ring but are just as happy curling up on the couch at the end of the day.

At the end of the day, our goal is simple.

We want to raise Beagles who are not only beautiful and correct, but also joyful companions—dogs who thrive in homes full of life, laughter, and children. Choosing a breeder is about more than simply finding a puppy. It is also about finding a program whose values and priorities align with your own.
